Easter Weekend

Joshua's First Bday!
On April 11, 2009 in Poplarville, Mississippi at the town park, Joshua had is very first birthday party. It was Elmo themed because he absolutely loves everything about Elmo. It was a huge
success, family and friends were there. We had an Elmo cake (which I am very proud of cuz I made it), an Elmo pinata, and an Easter egg hunt with Elmo eggs. We had so much fun and Joshua loved opening his presents. We had a crawfish boil afterwards so it was a very long day.

Then the next day was Easter!!! So more and more goodies for Joshua. We went out to Buddy's brother's in-laws (yeah we are all family cuz we love each other so much) for another Easter egg hunt. Buddy and Joshua had the best time looking for Joshua's eggs. And to my surprise Joshua actually participated. This weekend was so much fun because we were able to spend it with Daddy (Buddy). He is on orders for deployment so every little minute we get with him is so exciting.

All these new things going on are really creating all new emotions for me. I can't believe that my baby is one!! He is so special to us and we have no clue how our lives would be if he was not here. He really is our lil joy and hope because he entered our world when we had neither! I love looking back over this crazy year we have had with him and it boggles my mind to know that he will be five soon jumping around everywhere and actually carrying on conversations, or in 4th grade bugging me with his math problems or becoming a teenager and dealing with the nastyness of that lol! or being a teenager and going to games and etc to see his accomplishments or him becoming older and older... so crazy!! I want to hold on to every lil thing right now but I am so excited about him becoming a lil man and giving me a run for my money!!! Here are a few pics of his first bday and Easter!
